Machine Reference by Material

The models below are a reference to manufacturer-documented 3 mm tool platforms and material workflows. Individual tool fit depends on the exact machine configuration, tool dimensions, locating ring and CAM tool definition.

Does 3 mm refer to the cutting diameter?

No. It refers to the shank that fits into the machine’s tool holder. The cutting-head diameter is selected separately and varies by tool type.

What is the difference between single-flute and two-flute resin tools?

Single-flute tools have one cutting flute; two-flute tools have two. Select the flute count and tool profile specified for your material and CAM strategy. Tools with the same diameter are not automatically interchangeable.

Is the 1.5 mm zirconia tool a ball-nose cutter?

No. The 1.5 mm zirconia option is a flat-end tool. The zirconia ball-nose options are 0.3, 0.6, 1.0 and 2.5 mm. Select the geometry required by your CAM toolpath.

Can I use the glass-ceramic tools in a dry-only machine?

The glass-ceramic tools presented here are intended for a suitable wet-grinding setup. Dry-only models are not included in this selection. Check your machine configuration before ordering.

Are the 3 mm tools suitable for CORiTEC 250i PRO+?

No. CORiTEC 250i PRO+ and 250i Loader PRO+ use a 6 mm tool platform. Check the full machine name, including the PRO+ suffix, before choosing a bur.

Are these original imes-icore tools?

These are OnePro Dental replacement tools. They are not manufactured by imes-icore. The imes-icore and CORiTEC names are used to identify the relevant machine platforms.
