      Milling & Processing Workflow:

Step 1: CAD Design & Milling (30-45 minutes)

      • Design restoration with 20-25% enlargement to compensate for sintering shrinkage
      • Use wet milling for optimal results and minimal tool wear
      • Recommended bur: 1.0-2.0mm diameter carbide or diamond burs
      • Milling speed: 20,000-40,000 RPM
      • Feed rate: Moderate (adjust based on detail complexity)
      • Mill in pre-sintered state (white, porous material)

      Step 2: Staining (10-20 minutes)

      • Apply zirconia-compatible staining liquid by immersion or the brush technique
      • The porous pre-sintered structure allows stain penetration into the material
      • Staining must be done BEFORE sintering for internal coloration
      • Allow stained restoration to dry completely before sintering
      • Multiple layers can be applied for the desired shade intensity

      Step 3: Sintering (8-10 hours)

      • Place stained restoration in a sintering furnace
      • Follow the recommended sintering cycle (see table above)
      • During sintering, the material densifies and the stain becomes permanently fixed
      • Material shrinks 20-25% and becomes fully dense and strong (1300 MPa)
      • Ensure proper support to prevent warping
      • Allow complete cooling before handling

Step 4: Glazing (Optional) & Cementation

      • Optional: Apply glaze for enhanced surface finish (fire at 800-900°C)
      • Check fit and make minor adjustments if needed
      • Clean thoroughly before cementation
      • Use resin-modified glass ionomer or resin cement
      • Consider airborne particle abrasion for improved bond strength

⚠️ Important Note: Staining MUST be performed before sintering. The pre-sintered zirconia is porous and allows stain penetration. After sintering at 1500°C, the material becomes fully dense and staining liquid cannot penetrate - only surface coloration would be possible.

      Processing Recommendations:

      • Suitable for standard CAD/CAM milling workflows
      • Supports conventional sintering protocols
      • Compatible with common zirconia stains and glazes
      • Recommended for laboratories focusing on strength-critical restorations

      Why Choose HT Zirconia?

The HT (High Translucency) zirconia series is developed for cases where strength is the top priority. Compared to more translucent zirconia materials, HT zirconia offers superior mechanical performance, making it especially suitable for posterior restorations and long-span cases.

While its translucency is lower than SHT or UT zirconia, HT zirconia provides a reliable balance between durability and esthetics, ensuring long-term clinical success.

      HT Zirconia vs Lithium Disilicate

      Feature HT Zirconia Lithium Disilicate
Flexural Strength 1300 MPa 360-470 MPa
Best For Posterior crowns & bridges Anterior esthetics
      Translucency 39% (Lower) High
Processing Mill → Sinter → Stain Mill → Fire or Press → Fire
Long-span Bridges Excellent Limited (3-unit max)
      Price Range $20-$38 $39-$79

Recommendation: Choose HT Zirconia for posterior restorations requiring maximum strength. Choose Lithium Disilicate for anterior cases where esthetics is the priority.

      Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

      💎 Product Features & Strength

Q: What makes HT Zirconia different from other zirconia types?
A: HT (High Translucency) Zirconia offers the highest strength (1300 MPa) in our zirconia lineup, making it ideal for posterior restorations and long-span bridges. While it has lower translucency (39%) compared to SHT or UT zirconia, it provides superior mechanical performance for strength-critical cases.

Q: What is the flexural strength of HT Zirconia?
A: HT White Zirconia has a flexural strength of up to 1300 MPa, which is approximately 3-4 times stronger than lithium disilicate (360-470 MPa). This makes it ideal for posterior crowns, multi-unit bridges, and high-load occlusal cases.

Q: Can HT Zirconia be used for anterior restorations?
A: While HT Zirconia can be used for anterior restorations, its lower translucency (39%) makes it better suited for posterior cases. For anterior esthetics, we recommend our SHT (47% translucency) or UT (49% translucency) zirconia series, or our 3D-Pro multilayer zirconia.

Q: What is the maximum span for bridges with HT Zirconia?
A: Thanks to its 1300 MPa strength, HT Zirconia can support long-span bridges, including full-arch frameworks. It's suitable for 3-unit, 4-unit, and even longer posterior bridges where strength is critical.

      🔧 Milling & Processing

Q: Which CAD/CAM systems are compatible with HT Zirconia?
A: HT White Zirconia Disc (98mm) is compatible with most open CAD/CAM milling systems including Roland, VHF, Amann Girrbach, Sirona, and similar 98mm disc systems. Please verify your system's disc holder compatibility.

Q: What milling parameters should I use?
      A: Recommended parameters:
      • Bur size: 1.0-2.0mm diameter carbide or diamond burs
      • Milling speed: 20,000-40,000 RPM
      • Feed rate: Moderate (adjust based on detail)
      • Milling type: Wet milling preferred
      • Enlargement factor: 20-25% to compensate for sintering shrinkage

Q: What is the linear shrinkage rate?
A: HT Zirconia has a linear shrinkage rate of approximately 20-25% during sintering. Always design and mill restorations with this enlargement factor to achieve the correct final size.

Q: Can I adjust the sintering temperature?
A: We recommend following the standard 1530°C sintering temperature for optimal strength. Deviating from this temperature may affect the final strength and translucency of the material.

      🎨 Staining & Esthetics

Q: Can HT White Zirconia be stained?
A: Yes! The white base allows for flexible customization using zirconia-compatible stains. You can achieve a wide range of shades to match patient needs. Staining is typically done after sintering at 800-900°C, depending on the stain manufacturer's instructions.

Q: Do I need to glaze HT Zirconia restorations?
A: Glazing is optional. While HT Zirconia can be polished to a high shine, applying a glaze can provide additional surface smoothness and esthetic enhancement. Use zirconia-compatible glaze materials.

Q: How does the 39% translucency affect esthetics?
A: The 39% translucency provides a balance between strength and esthetics. While lower than anterior-focused zirconia (47-49%), it's sufficient for posterior restorations where strength is prioritized. Proper staining and glazing can achieve natural-looking results.

      🏥 Clinical Applications

Q: What cementation protocol should I use?
      A: For HT Zirconia restorations:
      1. Clean restoration thoroughly
      2. Consider airborne particle abrasion (50μm Al₂O₃) for improved bond
      3. Use resin-modified glass ionomer or resin cement
      4. Follow the cement manufacturer's instructions
      5. Ensure complete seating and remove excess cement

Q: Is HT Zirconia suitable for implant-supported restorations?
A: Yes! HT Zirconia's high strength (1300 MPa) makes it excellent for implant-supported crowns and bridges. Its mechanical properties can withstand the forces transmitted through implant abutments.

Q: Can HT Zirconia be used for bruxers?
A: Absolutely! The 1300 MPa strength makes HT Zirconia an excellent choice for patients with bruxism or heavy occlusal forces. It's one of the most durable materials available for posterior restorations.

      📦 Ordering & Packaging

Q: How many restorations can I get from one disc?
A: Under normal nesting and standard posterior crown design, one 98mm zirconia disc (12mm thickness) can typically produce approximately 25–35 posterior single crowns.
The actual yield may vary depending on crown design, tooth size, nesting efficiency, and processing loss.

Q: What is your shipping time?
